WHERE CHEMISTRY MEETS CUISINE
For me, dinner is never simply a reservation. It’s a ritual, a rhythm, a slow unfolding of connection between courses, glances, laughter and lingering sips of something decadent. It’s where conversation softens, anticipation builds and time quietly loses its authority.
I’m drawn to food that tells a story, dishes that demand attention and flavours that stay with you long after the final bite. Being European at heart, I gravitate towards food that balances emotion with precision: a perfectly seared steak with a bold Shiraz, delicate sashimi that melts on the tongue, caviar and martinis by candlelight, or a cheeky late-night burger after one too many glasses of champagne.
I live very comfortably in contrast. One evening it’s an elegant degustation; the next I’m hunting down the best bánh mì in Footscray. Melbourne has spoiled me beautifully, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. And yes, Rocco’s meatball sub remains one of life’s more sinful little pleasures.
When I indulge, I do it properly. Tequila is my weakness: clean, smooth and dangerous in exactly the right way. Tacos, tostadas, margaritas… I remain convinced I lived another life somewhere between Mexico City and the coast.
Every venue is chosen with intention. Perhaps a low-lit steakhouse where the room already feels intimate before we’ve ordered, an omakase where every course becomes part of the conversation, a coastal restaurant where seafood, wine and ocean air soften everything, a neighbourhood restaurant neither of us has tried, or somewhere completely unexpected that we discover together.
Because to me, food is sensual. It’s curiosity, presence and pleasure. It’s the art of slowing down and actually tasting everything.
From lazy European lunches to long Melbourne evenings that somehow become midnight dessert runs, these are the moments I collect.
LUNCH & DINNER DATES
A refined rendezvous of beautiful food, flirtation, conversation and effortless chemistry.
Perhaps we begin with champagne. Perhaps it’s a long lunch that stretches lazily into the afternoon. Or perhaps we dress beautifully for dinner, order far too much food and discover several hours later that neither of us has looked at the time.
There is no need to rush from one part of our date to another. The experience is ours to enjoy.
INVESTMENT
4 Hours • $3,500
Beautifully balanced for lunch or dinner, with plenty of time to relax into each other’s company.
5 Hours • $4,000
A little more indulgent, with room for drinks, dining and whatever direction our chemistry takes us.
6 Hours • $5,000
For those who prefer to linger: a long lunch, an evening out, an event or simply the luxury of having nowhere else we need to be.
Additional time may be requested should neither of us feel particularly enthusiastic about ending our date.
GALLERY • THEATRE • CULTURAL EXPERIENCES
There’s something wonderful about a date that begins with the anticipation of what lies ahead.
Perhaps we meet after work, or begin earlier with lunch, coffee or a glass of wine. Conversation softens the edges of the day before we step side by side into something we’ve chosen to experience together: the theatre, ballet, a new exhibition, gallery opening, live music, an international event, a museum after-hours experience, or simply something neither of us has seen before.
And afterwards, we don’t rush. Dessert somewhere beautiful, another glass of wine, a late supper, or simply enough time to unwind and talk about everything we’ve just seen.
The performance may have ended. Our evening doesn’t necessarily have to.
A SUGGESTED FLOW
Pre-show dining or drinks → Performance, gallery or exhibition → Dessert, drinks or time together afterwards.
I recommend five to six hours for this style of date so the evening can unfold naturally without constantly checking the clock.
5 Hours • $4,000
Designed to carry us effortlessly from pre-show drinks or dining into the evening and beyond.
6 Hours • $5,000
For a slower pace, with time to settle in beforehand and linger afterwards.
Additional time may be extended on the evening, subject to availability.
For upcoming exhibitions and performances, you’re very welcome to suggest something you’d love us to experience together.
NGV • BALLET • THEATRE • EXHIBITIONS • LIVE MUSIC • SPECIAL EVENTS
DINNER & SOCIAL EXPERIENCES
Not every date needs a rigid itinerary. Sometimes the pleasure is simply having enough time.
A restaurant we’ve both wanted to try, cocktails somewhere hidden, a gallery before dinner, a beautiful bottle of wine, a market followed by lunch, or a spontaneous change of plans because somewhere else suddenly looks more interesting.
Dining and social experiences can be tailored around the occasion, destination and the kind of time you’d like us to share. Additional private time may also be incorporated into our date under my Scarlet Heat or Obsidian Desire experiences.
WHERE SHALL WE EAT?
This is usually where the fun begins.
My taste is wonderfully broad. I adore exceptional fine dining, chef-led restaurants, omakase, beautiful European dining rooms and restaurants where the tasting menu feels almost theatrical. But I’m equally happy discovering an extraordinary neighbourhood restaurant, a tiny wine bar, market food, dumplings, tacos, bánh mì, a brilliant bakery or somewhere completely unassuming that happens to serve one unforgettable dish.
Price has very little to do with whether something excites me. It simply has to be good.
Over the years I’ve collected restaurants, cafés, bars, markets, bakeries, walks and little discoveries from Melbourne, Sydney, Tasmania, Adelaide, London, New Zealand, Singapore, Europe and beyond. Rather than trying to squeeze them all onto this page, I’ve created a home for them.

My evolving collection of restaurants worth travelling for, cult favourites, famous chefs, Michelin dining, local institutions, coffee, bakeries, markets, cocktails, hidden bars, architecture, neighbourhoods and places that deserve a detour.
Some I know and love. Some have been recommended by chefs, food writers and locals. Others are firmly waiting for my next visit.
Please visit Alessia’s Little Black Book from the website menu for my current favourites and ever-growing travel list.
And if you know somewhere remarkable that belongs in it, tell me. I’m always taking notes.
YOUR IDEA OR MINE?
You certainly don’t have to choose from my list. In fact, I rather enjoy being introduced to somewhere new.
If there’s a restaurant you’ve been wanting to experience, a chef whose food you love, a new exhibition you think I’d appreciate, tickets to a performance, a hidden bar or somewhere completely unexpected you’d like to introduce me to, tell me.
I love a gentleman with a plan.
And if planning isn’t your strength? Leave it with me. Tell me the mood, the occasion and what you enjoy. I’m very good at choosing for us.
PERHAPS SOMETHING MORE SPONTANEOUS
Not every memorable date begins with a reservation made three months in advance.
Perhaps we start with coffee and decide we’re hungry. Lunch becomes cocktails, cocktails become dinner, or we walk past somewhere interesting and abandon the original plan entirely.
There is something delicious about leaving a little room for the unexpected. The best dates often have structure, just not too much of it.
SPECIAL OCCASIONS
Birthdays, anniversaries, a celebration after a significant achievement, a beautiful evening while you’re visiting Melbourne, an international event, a restaurant reservation you’ve been saving for the right company, or simply an evening you want to feel rather more special than usual.
I’m very happy to help shape the experience around the occasion. Flowers, champagne, theatre tickets, restaurant reservations, hotel arrangements and other thoughtful details can all be incorporated into our planning where appropriate.
BOOKING
To enquire about a Date Night or Day Date, please include:
• Your name
• Where you found me
• Preferred date and time
• Desired duration
• Lunch, Dinner or Cultural Experience
• Restaurant, show, gallery or exhibition if already chosen
• Any tickets or reservations already secured
If you’d like me to create the itinerary, simply tell me what you enjoy and leave the rest to me. The more information you provide from the beginning, the easier it is for me to create something that feels beautifully considered rather than simply scheduled.

A DELICIOUS GOODBYE
Every dining experience with me is about depth, not excess and not performance.
The ease of conversation. The pleasure of beautiful food. The discovery of somewhere new. The quiet electricity that develops across a table when two people genuinely enjoy being there.
Because when we dine together, it’s never simply a meal. It’s anticipation, connection, curiosity and pleasure for every sense.
And sometimes the best part of dinner is discovering that neither of us is quite ready to ask for the bill.
